Launching a Friendly Physics Website for Teachers & students

Dear Teachers/students,

With the number of posts in the blog growing, the search for relevant content became difficult. In order to make the content well arranged & user friendly, we are launching a website:

It classifies as well as clubs the posts pertaining to a particular unit in a single site.

This will facilitate learning & make it enjoyable.

Some special features of the site are:

  • Well defined menu
  • Classification of content (Unitwise)
  • Different sections like Videos, notes, assignments etc.
  • Solved CBSE Physics papers
  • Sample papers for practice
  • MCQs for Conceptual Clarity
  • Tips & Tricks for Low & High achievers
  • A special section on TECHNOLOGY AIDED TEACHING (TAT) to empower the teachers in classroom interactions

Happy Teaching/Learning!

Useful material for entrance tests.
In continuation with the MCQs posted earlier, another lesson on THERMODYNAMICS is being posted.
The MCQs from the lesson have been carefully written/selected to cover various concepts in the unit.
MCQs from some more units units will be posted in due course.
The questions are in a new format.
I will appreciate, if you let me have your critical opinion about the new format viz a viz the earlier one…
Continue to follow/visit the blog or more units.
Share the blog with friends.

Happy Learning!

In order to help you reinforce learning & to give you some practice in understanding & mastering the technique of problem solving, here are a few MCQs from the unit Kinematics. The series will be continued to include more questions in this unit and to cover other units.

How can one learn Physics/Science?

Over the last couple of days, quite a few students have sought tips to grasp the concepts in Physics. I am reproducing an earlier blog for their benefit……….
Read on…..
Although a lot can be said and discussed about the same, a very simple and straight forward answer comes to my mind.
By critical thinking alone!
The following excerpts from Feynman’s lecture in Physics say it all.
“A poet once said, ‘The whole universe is in a glass of wine.’
It is very true.
Look at a glass of wine closely enough to see the entire universe.
 It contains:
  • the twisting liquid which evaporates depending on the wind and weather, the reflection in the glass; and our imagination adds atoms.
  • a distillation of the earth’s rocks, and in its composition we see the secrets of the universe’s age, and the evolution of stars.
  • a  strange array of chemicals in the wine? How did they come to be?
  • the ferments, the enzymes, the substrates, and the products. There in wine is found the great generalization; all life is fermentation.
Divide this glass of wine, this universe, into parts — physics, biology, geology, astronomy, psychology, and so on to all other branches of knowledge.
Remember:  Nature does not know it!
Each one of has to think and learn on his own. After all  Science has its origin and existence only in our ability to think and analyze.
Not interested?
Enjoy: drink wine; throw the glass  and forget it all”.

 No thinking! No Science!

Listen to the message in this melodious style!

Happy learning!
